The well-ordered chaos of a community barn raising is captured in Wade Wilcox’s spectacular autumn photo. Each 10 inch by 15 inch photo is double-matted in a 16 inch by 20 inch cream and black mats.
Although photographer Wade Wilcox did not grow up in Amish country, he has cultivated a special relationship with the Amish of Waynes and Holmes counties. He respectfully and elegantly captures their simple way of life with a personal touch and artistic flair.
Inspired by the pastoral scenes, Wade passionately works to capture both the natural beauty of the local farmland, but also the out-of-the-way views that are rarely seen.
Living and working the the Akron area, he travels regularly to the Amish area to visit with friends and to photograph the sights of the area. His photographs have been displayed in a variety of local galleries and shops in Holmes and Wayne counties.
