The name “Blackwood Brothers” is a name that is synonymous with Gospel Music. Their music has been heard around the world on radio, recordings, television and in personal appearances.

The Blackwood Brothers have been traveling for more than 77 years and are one of Southern Gospel’s most popular groups today.  Formed in 1934 in Choctaw County, Mississippi, the original members were brothers Doyle Blackwood, James Blackwood, Roy Blackwood and his son, R. W. Blackwood.

Over the years, many othe members have participated in the quartet, with the current members Jimmy Blackwood, Billy Blackwood, Wayne Little, Randy Byrd and Mike Hammontree on piano.

The Blackwood Brothers have recorded over 200 albums and toured in 47 countries. They won eight Grammy Awards and 6 Dove Awards. They were inducted in the “Gospel Music Hall of Fame” in Nashville, TN in 1998. Learn more about  Jimmy Blackwood and the Blackwood Brothers. 

Located in the Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek banquet hall, the doors for the June 28 concert will open at 5:30 pm with the dinner to be served at 6pm. The concert will follow at 7pm. Tickets are $37.50 per person and include the dinner, a chicken and roast beef Family Style Dinner, concert, tax and gratuities.
